Suzanna Garrett

Suzanna lives on a river in the beautiful mountains of Virginia. Her jewelry is inspired everyday by the view out of her studio window. Suzanna Garrett has always had an adventurous spirit so there was no way her jewelry was going to be typical! Prior to settling in the beautiful mountains of Lexington, VA she stretched her wings in Costa Rica, the Virgin Islands, Colorado, and Montana. Hanging out inside was never her style and if a day went by where she didn’t get to dip her toes in the water then something must have gone wrong! While always artistic, Suzanna got into jewelry design in a somewhat unconventional way. She and her husband spent countless hours on canoeing adventures and Suzanna was always collecting rocks and shells from the river bottom during these trips. The stones were beautiful and scattered all over her house to remind her of good times. Why not make them into something she could wear and enjoy all the time? Hundreds of hours of research, experimentation, and classes followed until finally she had created pieces of jewelry that captured the organic look a nature lover craves while also containing a unique elegant design that could be appreciated by everyone. And since every stone she finds is unique, no two pieces of jewelry are ever the same! Wire, brass, silver, gold, and copper chain typically tie all the elements together to create what has been described as the perfect blend of rugged elegance.
