Jessy Poole

Jessy Poole-Caruthers graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Oklahoma with an emphasis in painting and drawing.  Her extensive travel experience throughout Europe and Central America has influenced her work, and enabled her to observe a wide array of wildlife.  Jessy Poole's examination of the natural world is portrayed in her paintings as a combination of abstraction and realism.  Her works are a conscience effort to catch a fleeting moment, making it immobile and permanent.  Her paintings are layered, which allows her to achieve complex color schemes as well as include hidden imagery and texture.  She also is a collaborating ceramicist with Daniel of Earth, Fire, & Spirit Pottery.
